Contact

Talk to the newsroom. Newsmanship is published by 24World Media, and every message sent through this page reaches a working desk, not a mailbox nobody opens. Use the form below for story tips, documents, correction requests, questions about our coverage and general reader mail. If your message is about advertising or services, say so in the first line and it will be routed to the right place the same day.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, private identity documents, or material you do not have the right to share. For an urgent safety issue, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.

What to send, and how to send it

A good tip answers five questions: what happened, where, when, who is involved and how you know. Documents, photographs, fixtures, official statements and data all help, and you may attach or link them where the form allows. Tell us whether you are speaking on the record, as background or off the record, and we will respect the terms you set; the default, if you say nothing, is that we may quote you with the name you give us. If you are sending sensitive material, say so in your first message and send the substance in a second one, so we can agree on handling before it moves. We never publish a source’s identity against their stated terms.

Corrections go to the front of the queue

If we have published something wrong about you, your organisation or anyone else, tell us the story’s headline, what is wrong and what the correct fact is, with evidence where you have it. Correction requests are prioritised over every other kind of mail. Confirmed errors are corrected openly under our Corrections policy, and the person who flagged the error is told when the fix is live. Disagreeing with an angle, a headline or an editorial judgment is not an error, but we read those messages too, and reasoned criticism shapes future coverage.

Reach the right desk

For world, politics and public-affairs tips, address the World and Politics Desk. For markets, companies and technology, address the Business and Technology Desk. For scores, fixtures, results, film, music and streaming, address the Sports and Entertainment Desk. For studies, health guidance, missions and research, address the Health and Science Desk. Naming the desk in your message speeds routing, but a message sent without one still reaches a human being. Each desk’s author page lists what it covers and carries its recent work, so you can check you are writing to the right place.

Email is best for documents and longer submissions; the form above is best for quick tips and corrections. We do not publish a newsroom telephone number, because the desks work across time zones on the news cycle rather than office hours, and written messages create the record that accurate journalism needs. If your matter is time-critical, put the deadline in your subject line and first sentence.

Privacy, safety and honest limits

What you send us is used to assess and, where we decide to pursue it, report a story. We do not sell tipsters’ details, hand source material to third parties or confirm a source’s identity to anyone outside the reporting team. If you ask to remain anonymous, say what anonymity you need and we will agree terms before you send anything sensitive. Two limits deserve plain statement. First, sending material does not guarantee coverage; editorial judgment, verification and news value decide. Second, we cannot offer legal protection advice, so if you face legal risk in sharing material, speak to a lawyer first. We would rather receive your story later and safely than sooner and at cost to you.

Response times

We read every message. On a normal news day, corrections are acknowledged the same day and other mail within two working days; on major breaking-news days, replies slow down and the story comes first. If you have not heard back and your matter is urgent, send a short follow-up referencing your first message rather than starting again. Thank you for reading Newsmanship closely enough to write to it. The readers who correct us, tip us and argue with us are the reason the standard on our About page is a practice rather than a promise.
